Closing Up Shop

On January 1st 2004, I started up a website called TheMTA.com as a place to post silly things. It originally had some photos and drawings and grew to have music and videos and journals and other things that I created with friends. I thought I was funny and I’m a web developer by trade, so it was something to do. I learned a lot of what I know now about being funny and being a web developer just by having this web site for so long. Well, time and time again I’ve said, “Matt, you need to update TheMTA.com more regularly.” For a while I was doing pretty good, posting a new cover image every month and a new drawing once a week. But lo and behold I’ve fallen back into an updating slump.

Additionally, in the past year I have started getting into stand-up comedy, created this blog, and started work on the sketch show Tuxedo Rd. These things on top of my full time job and having a life leave me little time to think about working on making TheMTA.com a better website. This website here does lots of cool things all by itself because it was made using WordPress.

After thinking about it for a while, I’ve decided I’m going to officially no longer update TheMTA.com. Maybe at some future date when I have more free time I’ll start it back up, but for now it’ll have to sit there and wait. This blog is fun and I’ll continue to post here regularly. In due time I will be moving some of the features from TheMTA.com that I want to keep going onto this site. That means I’ll start posting art, music, photos, videos, and all that stuff on this site instead of TheMTA.com!
