It’s been mentioned in this space that I’m a Pokémon Go player and anyone who has taken any kind of walk with me in the past few months knows that I’m still playing Pokémon Go on the regular. The game has generally not been as popular as when it was released but it was never going to keep up that popularity. This past weekend though, I relived the glory days of seeing hoards of players walking around with their phones out. This past Saturday there was a special Pokémon Go Community Day where people could catch a special edition Pikachu (that knew the attack, “surf”) from 2-5 in the afternoon. I took a walk through Prospect Park and was amazed at the number of people playing! Everyone wanted a surfing Pikachu!
All this walking around and playing Pokémon Go over the past 18-months gave me an idea for a list. I started noticing street names in Brooklyn that could pass as names of Pokémon.
Here are my favorites:
- Tillary
- Willoughby
- Schermerhorn
- Lefferts
- Throop
- Euclid
- Wallabout
- Humboldt
- Brevoort
- Boerum
- Driggs
And there you have it, 11 Streets in Brooklyn That Sound Like Names of Pokémon. If you have any more, please feel free to share them, from Brooklyn or wherever!
You should draw them!
