Dog murder and other made up things

From June 28th through 30th, I was in New York City, checking out the Del Close Marathon put on by the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Though I didn’t feel like waiting in line at the main UCB Theatre, I spend 10-ish hours watching improv at 3 of the 7 total stages: UCB East, Theater 80,… Continue reading Dog murder and other made up things

I am not a child nor do I have children, so my sense of what makes a commercial for kids’ toys these days is skewed. I wrote about this last year and it’s back in Boston again this year, the Women In Comedy Festival! I’m a hug fan of the festival, they always put on a bunch of really good shows, host a bunch of workshops, and just bring in a whole bunch of talent from all over the place.… Continue reading The Women In Comedy Festival

America says, “shove it England,” again

The phrase, “the book was better,” is one of the most annoying things a person can say about a movie. An apple is not an orange and a movie is not a book. Most of the time I wonder if a person actually likes the book better or if a) they feel obligated to say… Continue reading America says, “shove it England,” again
