I was recently watching The Simpsons on Simpsons World and I saw the episode about prohibition called Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment. In this episode of The Simpsons, the beer manufacturer, Duff, has to stay in business during probation. They do this by offering a product called Duff Zero. As a Duff spokesperson says, “We’re not worried. Our customers buy Duff for its robust taste, not its alcoholic content. I don’t need a bag
I’ll admit that I’m a card-carrying liberal (not like that’s outrageous these days). The environment is a big deal to me. I hate littering like few others.
The city that never sleeps but needs to rest sometimes
First of all, New York sleeps (at least as much as any other city). The subway becomes unbearable at midnight, especially when taking more than one train with the schedule becoming once every half-hour. During the day, the city is hectically busy but there’s definitely a resting period most days.
