Have I tipped enough?

I’m a good person, I tip between 15% and 20% depending on how well I was treated (I just made several enemies saying sometimes I only tip 15%). I’d say on average, I give 18% (I just made several more enemies that realized I don’t always tip at least 20%). I’m confident in my choices, so I don’t have any shame over this but that doesn’t stop people from trying to shame me.

How would you like your waffle?

Last week while I was in Florida I visited an American institution, Waffle House. It’s one of my favorite chains and one I can only really visit if I’m in the southern part of the country. I love the waffles but the other thing that keeps me coming back is the ambiance. Like most 24-hour restaurants, the patrons (and staff) are pretty interesting.

The Rides of Universal Orlando

Last week I went to Universal Orlando and got a 2-day pass for both parks: Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. I hadn’t been since 1994, so it was pretty much all new to me. I present here my ranking of all the rides that I was able to go on.

I made a joke that we need to, “Forget man-spreading (when men sit with their legs wide open on the subway, taking up two, or maybe more, seats), we need to stop man-lengthening.”

Vote 4 Ghost

Holiday decorations are the best. I love how much effort is put into coming up with new ideas for them year after year. Above is a photo of one of my all time favorites from Halloween 2008. It’s timely; Election Day is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, at most 8 days after Halloween. It’s poignant; politicians are the worst, it’s like their monsters! It’s goofy, for many reasons…

Steve Gods

God and Steve Jobs are sitting on the couch, watching TV. A commercial for Aaron Sorkin’s biopic, Steve Jobs, is just finishing. God says, “Hey Steve, don’t you think this new movie portrays you a little too much like me, the literal Christian God?”

Nope? Okay.

Over the weekend I was in a couple of shows for the NYC SketchFest 2015. Saturday night I was a part of the Current Eventuals show, a show “that’s written in a week and rehearsed in a day” with “SNL-esque topical sketch comedy.” My favorite moment of the show, from a sketch called Pun Control, is available now as a Vine…
