Here I come Buffalo!

This weekend, I’m flying to Buffalo, NY! I’m part of the ComedySportz Boston delegation to ComedySportz Buffalo‘s 6th Annual Improvathon. Writing in Stephen Colbert’s Voice

Recently I took a writing workshop with Eric Drysdale of The Colbert Report at ImprovBoston. During the class, we learned how the writers for The Colbert Report put their material together. The workshop started off with the group talking about things that were going on in the news and we eventually hit on a topic that Eric felt would be good to tackle for The Colbert Report’s “Tip of the Hat/Wag of the Finger.”

Performing on stage does not scare me. I’m not sure it has ever scared me. I figure the reasons are as such: 1) I love attention, so I’m not afraid of having a room full of eyes on me; and 2) my early, care-free experiences on stage…

I look at the world as a realist with optimistic tendencies. This let’s me lead a life without total despair but also hold on to reality. I think the world is probably too negative but humanity needs some negativity and I’m allowed to have negative opinions…
